Panos, as his friends call him, was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1970. His love for music and vinyl records from a young age lead him to follow an early career on the radio and to work as a DJ in the music scene of the city, while at the same time he was acquiring his silver and goldsmithing skills and studying jewellery design. This experimental stage of his life inevitably planted in him the love for design and unconventional ideas. After a 10-year successful career as a sales manager for a major ceramic tiles importing company in Greece, he decided to become, and still remains, a freelance commercial agent for high-end Italian furniture brands in the Greek market. Working for 15 years as a independent agent, travelling and being exposed and open to creative ideas and mentalities, set his mind free and took him back to his creative origins. Hence, the need for a unique project of his own emerged. Meeting Valentino Marengo and Dimitris Karapanagiotidis was the catalyst for the birth of Klox. And because time is always relative and by one’s side when focused on positive vibes, he later met Ivano Bosio who got incorporated in the team as if he was there from day one.
The designer of the first model in the range of Klox was born in Torino, Italy, in 1968 and graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Torino before getting a Masters Degree in Product Design at the Domus Academy in Milan. He has worked as product designer for the Italian design firm Pininfarina Extra for which he has designed, among other products, the Olympic torch for the Winter Olympic Games of Torino 2006. Later he cooperated with the Italian furniture company Riva 1920 for which he has designed the urban bench Landmark. Some of these benches have been installed at the Lido di Jesolo of Venice, Italy. In Greece, he cooperates as stage designer with the National Theatre of Athens and the National Theatre of Northern Greece, but also as designer and producer of art objects for the art shop of The Benaki Museum. As a graphic designer he has designed the new logo for the Greek National Opera. His love for Greece lead him to create his family in this country, despite the difficult conditions, and drove him to establish creative cooperations with Greek design teams.
Dimitris was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1976. He studied Marketing Communications and even before he graduated he started working in the field of advertising agencies. Throughout the years, he covered all posts of the advertising sector (creative, production and accounting) starting as junior and moving on to senior and chief campaign manager positions. In 2011, together with a small group of talented professionals, he founded ZootHoot – Branding and Digital Agency working on various successful projects. His most distinct characteristic is the love for discovering new ways and techniques in the communication of brands with their audience. If he had to choose between logic and feeling in commercial communication, he would easily go with feeling and this explains his love for epic campaigns and storytelling. But, he never passes up the opportunity to explore the synergy of online and offline guerrilla marketing when he gets the chance. His next step is to participate as Senior Marketing Executive in the business plans of selected strategic accounts/clients of ZootHoot agency, one of them being KLOX. He dedicates his free time to his family, tennis, flight sim and drinking good wine with good friends.
Ivano was born in a quiet and picturesque small village of Northern Italy in 1971. From the very beginning of his career as an export manager, Ivano oversaw large and complex projects like Airport Extensions, Automotive plant setups for Peugeot, Audi, BMW and the setup of hotels all around the world. His passion for photography eventually brought him to work with the Vitec Group, where he focused on business in the EMEA region, Asia Pacific and later also South America. He lived in Shanghai for some time and travelled from there to almost all countries of the region. He has a deep appreciation for the diversity of human life on earth. He is a devoted documentary photographer and currently also leading niche design products start-ups with focus on sustainability and social responsibility. Developing his passion for photography has helped him penetrate beyond what is obvious and predictable and elaborate his thoughts and approaches. Breaking down the walls in his mind and discovering a new self through his photography has been his subconscious destination all along and he only realized this while editing his work and taking the time to verbalise to himself the stories behind his work. As a business development advisor at Klox he is always eager to suggest innovative ideas and help the brand remain focused on its core values and environmental and social character.
